Had such a great day, that I booked a second
Detlow was very communicative and called the day before to arrange everything and take special requests. On location we shared equipment and he showed how to set up and take the pictures. Detlow is friendly and patient. Once we were down on the beach, the truly spectacular images emerged. The workshop included a delicious snack and the choice of locations was excellent. Over lunch we looked at some of the images and discussed them. We got along so well and had so much fun that I booked a second day with Detlow to explore more locations and work on more composition techniques. The second day was just as exciting in terms of locations and shooting opportunities. Since I also enjoy shooting on my own, Detlow made suggestions for other locations I could explore - one of which led to one of my favorite shots in years. Detlow and I worked on editing our photos at home and scheduled a video conference to discuss our edits and share techniques. All in all, it's worth the money because you end up with excellent photos, instruction, and a good mentor.
Detlow war sehr kommunikativ und rief am Vortag an, um alles zu organisieren und spezielle Wünsche zu besprechen. Vor Ort teilte er mit mir sein Equipment und er zeigte mir, wie man die Aufnahmen gestaltet. Detlow ist freundlich und geduldig. Als wir den Strand erreichten, entstanden die wirklich spektakulären Bilder. Der Workshop beinhaltete einen leckeren Imbiss und die Auswahl der Locations war hervorragend. Beim Mittagessen schauten wir uns einige der Bilder an und besprachen sie. Wir haben uns so gut verstanden und hatten so viel Spaß, dass ich einen zweiten Tag bei Detlow gebucht habe, um weitere Orte zu erkunden und an weiteren Bildkompositionstechniken zu arbeiten. Der zweite Tag war hinsichtlich der Orte und Aufnahmemöglichkeiten genauso spannend. Da ich auch gerne auf eigene Faust fotografiere, gab Detlow mir Vorschläge für weitere Orte, die ich erkunden könnte – einer davon hat zu einer meiner Lieblingsaufnahmen der letzten Jahre geführt. Detlow und ich bearbeiteten unsere Fotos zu Hause und vereinbarten eine Videokonferenz, um unsere Bearbeitungen zu besprechen und Techniken auszutauschen. Alles in allem ist es das Geld wirklich wert, denn am Ende erhält man hervorragende Fotos, eine fundierte Anleitung und einen guten Mentor.
