Roques de García, ‘the Finger of God’ – a truly magical place!

Since 2007, Teide National Park has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its location and unique rock formations are impressively close to Pico Viejo (3,135 metres) and Mount Teide (3,715 metres). Here, erosion has created masterful sculptures over several million years. A paradise for spectacular shots, even after darkness has fallen. The starry sky, with the Milky Way spreading out above you, will leave you in awe. It is a hotspot that is second to none.

Workshops are available during the day and at night.
The time between June and October is the best to view and photograph the Milky Way close Volcano Teide. The nights are crystal clear and the galactic centre of the Milky Way is high in the sky and shines particularly brightly. The Milky Way is also visible in Tenerife during the rest of the year.
Although the centre of the galaxy is not as bright as it is in summer, the starry skies at higher altitudes offer fantastic conditions for observing the fainter winter arm.
The nights around the new moon are particularly suitable.
You can expect
Photography workshops given by me personally – a photographer with many years’ experience and the recipient of awards.
I’ll provide you opportunities to discover your own creative approaches to landscape photography.
At Tenerife’s most inspiring natural photography spots, you’ll find opportunities to capture your own personal perspectives in your photographs.
Designed photography
It all starts with your own visual idea.
The camera’s viewfinder is your creative field and provides the framework for good composition with deliberate framing.
Your choice of lens, aperture, shutter speed and ISO setting have a significant impact on your photograph. The workshop should clarify the interplay between your choice of framing, perspective, lighting and technical settings, and your visual concept.
All camera systems that allow you to adjust the exposure parameters are welcome, including analogue cameras.
You should be as familiar as possible with your camera. Of course, I’m willing to give you guidance.
At the end of the day
At the end of the day,
you’ll take home not only spectacular motives but also new photographic experiences.
As a giveaway, I’ve got five postcards and a photography guidelines with creative and technical tips ready for you.
